Small Rooms. Bad furniture..basic amenities like electric kettle absent.. even a cup of tea before 8 AM isn't available... very arrogant and callous staff.. they extort - charge 2% extra on credit card payments... The parking is very small - invariably you have to juggle to take out your car... we made a mistake by booking here... You must avoid this mistake!!

Booked the rooms through booking.com. Post booking received call from the hotel stating 25% deposit needs to be made for which the only option is making a UPI payment only which sometimes can be cumbersome too especially if one doesn't have which I tried to make the person understand who called in ( Ankit I thiknk ). To which the person bluntly denied and when said that would complained to booking.com the response received was do whatever you want. Secondly, initially did an accidental booking for non-ac rooms instead of Air Conditioned so called the hotel again for making the changes to Air Conditioned rooms to which again was denied stating that you need to get in touch with Booking.com as they charge the cancellation fees which is not the scene. So, finally post speaking to a person from Booking.com got the reservation changed to Air Conditioned rooms. Don't know what was the challenge when the same was requested by myself. Coming to the Hotel Sunder is located in the hustle and bustle of the city with nearby attractions. Good and tidy rooms with proper working Air-conditioners. Lift is available for all the floors, RO and bottled ( at nominal charge ) on request available as per guests choice. Also restaurant facility is also available within the Hotel. In terms of the parking since we were travelling on our motorcycles we wanted them to be safe and the Hotel have in premise parking place available a plus point for us. Also, not to miss the Hotel has generator backup too. Overall had a good time in terms of the stay minus the initial hicup with the arrogance of the hotel staff in communicating with the customers especially when one is in the service industry.

Location is good. Close to station. Rooms are small and out dated and little dirty too. Linens were dirty with spots. They have good property which is big but not well maintained. Ordered some food which was okay. Parking space is available and driver accommodation as well. It is an okay place for short stay, if you want to just fresh up or spent overnight.

Hotel New Sunder is a 10-minute walk from Sarawate, a tad longer from Indore Junction. It's good value, especially for a large city during the busy travel season. The hotel is reasonably clean throughout, though rooms are in need of repainting. The linens on our bed, and the towels, were all nice and clean, and the duvet had a clean slipcover, which I really appreciate. (I don't like the habit that most Indian hotels have of giving you only a bottom sheet and a blanket, because blankets are not washed every time). Linens were, however, thin and fraying; the towels are newer, and nice and large. Staff is friendly and very helpful -- the young man who brought our tea and breakfast each morning was cheerful and kind, which is such a nice thing in the mornings! There is no restaurant to sit in, but the food from room service is very good -- the tea was excellent and the besan childa is delicious. Laundry service was fast, excellent and cheaper than I am used to -- just Rs. 15 to wash and iron each piece. I was grateful for this after a long train ride and a backlog of laundry. The room we booked is large and comfortable, with windows and a door to the balcony so you can get outside air into the room. There are trees outside, which means you can hear birds, especially in the morning, something I find really soothing when staying in a large city. The bathroom is really big, and the geyser is large and works perfectly -- we can both have hot showers, one after the other. This is not a small thing -- again, we were so grateful for this after our overnight train journey. All in all, a hotel that provides good value and good service. My only recommendations to management would be to get around to painting the rooms sometime soon, and to replace the bed linens that are wearing out. It might also be nice too be able to sit in the restaurant and have a meal or tea instead of eating in the room, especially as there are no restaurants in the immediate area .
